double exposure #1 - 2011-02-20 19:10:12
| now i'll post the rest of those double exposure photographs. the roll was taken the first time in southern Alberta down at the river. we had some warming that day and i found water dripping under the bridge - this explains the water and mud you can see in this one. the roll was shot the second time in San Diego - mostly from the passenger seat of a moving car. there was a question about whether i knew what was on each frame as i shot it the second time. by the time i shot the roll the second time i had forgotten what i'd shot the first time - other than i knew it was winter scenes. the other thing with film double exposures is that even if you do remember what was on a particular frame you can't always be certain how the film will react to the process and which elements from the first and second scenes will show up on the final image. at least that's my experience of it. |
