| for the first assignment in the photography class we were asked to agree as a group on a collaborative project. the class decided we would each take one or two rolls of black and white 35mm film with the theme of self portrait without the physical body in the frame. we would return to the next class with one or two contact sheets and then we would each look at the contact sheets and mark the two images of each student that we felt best fit the theme. the following week we would return with 2 prints and we would create a small show with the work. with one of my rolls of film i decided to go downtown and take photographs of things i felt might express some parts of myself without over thinking it too much. when i printed the contact sheet i was surprised at how many of the images had clothing in them. i'll post a few of these this week. our class will put our little show up on the classroom wall on thursday. should be fun to see all our prints up together. |
