after ishimoto - image 2 of 2 images - 2008-11-24 20:10:26
| the photograph just previous to this one is taken from a book of Yashuhio Ishimoto photographs called a Tale of Two Cities. i had the book at home and i likely saw the Ishimoto's image of stones in a Japanese garden. then i went to a Japanese garden and took this image a few weeks ago. i wasn't consciously thinking of Ishimoto's image but it must have been there in the back of my mind influencing me. Ishimoto's photograph was taken in 1954 in Japan and mine was taken 54 years later in Alberta. more of these will appear as i do them - perhaps slowly - lots of irons in the fire at the moment. |
