this is a photograph of the last assignment for the class. the title of the piece is Fragile Work. i photographed Kelly sewing leaves and then printed these images and sewed them to leaves.

a few people have mentioned that these seem to be getting more abstract. it's true - some are more abstract than others - or the way i've put them together has made them more abstract. i haven't changed the title though because i feel these are part of a series. they're also from the same roll of film.

when i took this i think i was interested in the branches of the tree but when i had the film developed the element in this that appealed to me most was the little window or vent at the top of the garage. so i isolated the window/vent element and repeated it on the side.
