B.A. from University of Victoria and M.A. from UBC
Live in Alberta in the winter and BC in the summer
Use a Pentax K10D or film and a well-loved Canon T70

Artist Statement:
My professional life involves working carefully with words to untangle personal histories and create conditions that foster cleaner realities. Photography appeals to me because it describes and communicates without words.

Sometimes I like to create direct, simple, unmistakable images and other times I prefer the ambiguous or mysterious. The story half told or not quite clear, the frame containing more questions than answers.

The photographer Duane Michaels says we should look for clues to our own truth. I like to do that with the camera. Look, click, look later at what comes out of the box, where is the truth, not objective truth but personal truth.
